What we actually do
This site isn't a shop. Illuminations Supplier doesn't manufacture lighting, doesn't hold stock and doesn't ship orders. We check CE marking, the technical datasheet and a physical sample before agreeing to introduce a trade buyer to a supplier. Tell us your volume, the range you're interested in, your country and your timeline: if a supplier fits, we make the introduction directly by email. From there, price, samples, lead time and contract terms are negotiated between you and the supplier.
A different question from buying at retail
A commercial buyer ordering several hundred metres of lighting has different needs from a shopper picking a box off a shelf. The question isn't "does this string of lights look nice", it's "does every unit in a run of a thousand match the datasheet of the sample I was shown".

Three details are enough to get started: your approximate quantity, the range you're after (indoor, outdoor, solar, event lighting, neon flex...), and your delivery country. A supplier will then work out the finer details with you before issuing a firm quote.

Why the IP rating matters as much as CE marking
CE marking confirms basic electrical compliance. It says nothing about how the product holds up once it's outdoors. That's what the protection rating (IP44, IP65...) tells you: whether a string of lights can take rain and damp for a full season.
Before routing an outdoor lighting request, we check that the stated IP rating actually matches the buyer's intended use, not just what's printed on the product sheet.

Frequently asked questions
What's the minimum order quantity for a wholesale lighting order?
It depends on the range: from 50 units for event lighting, generally 100 units for indoor, outdoor and Christmas ranges, and 200 units for solar. Tell us your approximate volume in the form and we'll route your request to a supplier whose capacity fits.
Is CE marking mandatory on lighting sold in Europe?
Yes. Any electrical device placed on the EU market, LED string lights included, must carry CE marking and a declaration of conformity. It's the first document we ask a supplier for before considering an introduction.
What's the difference between IP44 and IP65 for outdoor lighting?
These are protection ratings set out in IEC 60529. IP44 protects against splashing water from any direction and solid objects over 1mm, which is fine for a sheltered spot. IP65 protects against low-pressure water jets and dust ingress, and is recommended for direct weather exposure all season.
Can we get a sample before committing to a full order?
Most suppliers in our network can send a sample before you commit to a full production run. Ask for one once we've made the introduction, and check the length, colour temperature and IP rating yourself before confirming volume.
Can we get custom branding or packaging (white label)?
Some suppliers offer custom packaging or labelling, others don't. Mention it in your message and we'll only route you to a supplier that can do it at your volume.
Do you ship across Europe?
Depending on the supplier, shipping covers the UK and all or part of Europe. Tell us your delivery country in the form so we can account for it.
Who manufactures the lighting you list?
We don't manufacture ourselves. We check a supplier's technical documentation and CE marking before putting a qualified B2B buyer directly in touch with them. Production, price, samples and shipping are then negotiated between you and the supplier.
What's the difference between warm white and cool white?
Warm white, around 3000K, gives an amber, incandescent-like glow, common for facades and Christmas illuminations. Cool white, around 6000K, is whiter and brighter, and is often used for signage or event lighting. Specify which you need in your request.
How long does production and shipping take for a bulk order?
It varies by supplier, order size, and whether shipping is domestic or international. The earlier you send your request ahead of your target date, the less production availability constrains your timeline, especially close to the Christmas season, when capacity fills up fast.
Is there a cost to submit a request?
No. Submitting a request and being connected with a supplier costs nothing.

Do you also cover event lighting outside the Christmas season?
